Learning and Teaching in the Religion Curriculum

Our Goal
As a Catholic Community, St Kevin's School is dedicated to the education of the whole child with emphasis on the spiritual development of each child - irrespective of their religion.  We foster a love of God and develop religious knowledge and understanding within the Catholic tradition, encouraging all in the community to develop their faith and spirituality.  We aim to share and experience the teachings of the Bible in such a way that we develop and empower students to respect and live the Gospels.  We foster and nurture the Catholic faith and spirit through the values underpinned in the Biblical teachings, as well as following in the footsteps of our Patron Saints, St Kevin and St Mary of the Cross MacKillop.

Our Beliefs...
-  We believe that God loves us and each person is formed in his image and likeness.
-  We believe that every learner can find meaning in life which, in the Catholic Tradition, is grounded in the values of Jesus.
-  We believe that teachers teach the Religious Education Curriculum in a respectful and inclusive manner.
-  We believe we provide a safe and supportive environment in which to experience the Religious Education learning process
